A series of photographs that echo Shanghai at the beginning of the millennium, captured through an in-game camcorder and reframed through the lens of my cheap smartphone — my only camera.

Landscapes from the margins — spaces not meant to be seen, yet always passed through. Roads, fences, transitional zones.

Informal monuments created by daily use: worn steps, improvised signs, surfaces shaped by repetition rather than design.

Infrastructure without users — systems waiting for bodies that never arrive. A study in planned absence.
